Born in 1986, the Association Volcanologique Européenne
(L.A.V.E. ) is a scientific cultural association.
Its goal : to allow volcanology enthusiasts, professional or not, to meet in a French-speaking association with the desire to promote scientific exchanges in the field of Earth sciences, and to contribute to the promotion of volcanological research through to his magazine “LAVE”
For this, the L.A.V.E. association :
in addition to its quarterly magazine “LAVE” in color of 48 pages, it offers various publications: special memoirs on specific subjects, the book “Chasseurs de volcans” and DVDs;
offers to follow volcanological news thanks to its Infolave and its webcam installed on Etna;
to go further, its site offers volcano sheets, scientific sheets;
carries out information actions for the general public: exhibitions, conferences, production of audiovisual products (photos, films, video, etc.);
finally, L.A.V.E. has created several delegations in the provinces organizing outings, conferences, screenings for members, and brings them together each year for a general assembly on a remarkable geological site.
